IT Support Specialist

The IT Support Specialist will provide onsite (with some remote) desktop technical support for Bluescape staff located in the San Carlos Office. Responsibilities

The IT Support Specialist will provide onsite (with some remote) desktop technical support for Bluescape staff located in the San Carlos Office. As a member of a rapidly expanding company, you must be organized, focused and self-driven. You have a passion for problem-solving and seeing issues through to resolution.

  • Supporting Tier 1 & Tier 2 helpdesk requests.
  • Monitor the internal ticketing system for prompt, proactive response to end users
  • Setup of staff workstation areas
  • Assist with asset management, inventory, and ordering
  • Maintain compliance and protection of private company data and systems per processes and procedures
  • Contribute to infrastructure and process documentation

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Build new systems (Mac & Windows) for new hire deployment
  • Maintain/Upgrade existing hardware & software
  • Office 365, AzureAD, JumpCloud, G-Suite, VOIP phone system (hardware & softphone)
  • Understanding of Hard Disk Encryption including BitLocker and FileVault 2
  • Understanding of Video & Audio Conferencing technologies including RingCentral and Webex
  • Knowledge of MDM solutions including Jamf Pro
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Slack, Skype for Business, VPN,  and LastPass
  • Adept in PC troubleshooting, deployment, repair, and disposal
  • Adept with malware/virus detection and removal
  • Understanding of Networking fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL)
  • Understanding of Network hardware (WAP, Routers, Switches) Some exposure to Linux/Unix, PowerShell
  • Experience providing remote support
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision Some lifting of equipment up to 50lbs
